Two of the founders of the massive beauty chain Lush have been recognised in the Queen's New Year's Honours List for 2011 and each appointed an Officer of the Order of the British Empire (OBE) for their contribution to the beauty industry. Mo and Mark Constantine were part of the five original co-founders of the company 15-years-ago, however, their efforts go back way further than the creation of Lush, as they had been creating innovative beauty products for ten years previously. Mark works with the product development team, creating such treats as hair and body creams. Mo creates products such as the solid shampoo bar, and is the inventor of the first bath bomb.
Mo Constantine commented: "For us this award represents recognition for all those people who have worked so hard and shown such dedication and commitment to the company over the years." Mark Constantine added: "We are delighted to accept this award for services to the beauty industry. We would like to thank our loyal customers who have supported and encouraged us over the past 25 years."
